Founder’s Note
I’m Tare Robinson Korumene, founder and CEO of ECO-FIP NIG LTD. My journey began in Bayelsa State, where I created toys from plantain stems as a child, a passion that later evolved into a purpose. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw the vast agricultural waste from plantain and banana farming in Nigeria as an opportunity rather than a problem, which led me to establish ECO-FIP NIG LTD in 2023. Our mission is to transform discarded plantain stems into eco-friendly products that create jobs, reduce waste, and promote sustainability. Today, through innovations like our Dunnally Organic Fibre Hair Extensions, we are proving that African-led sustainable innovation can drive real environmental and social impact while shaping a greener future.
